PEMBERDAYAAN PEREMPUAN BURUH ATAS HAK-HAK TENAGA KERJA DI PERUSAHAAN BERDASARKAN KESETARAAN GENDER

ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine the perceptions of women workers toward the sexist material contained in regulations or collective labor agreements and create a model for women’s empowerment in understanding and fight for the rights of normative and have the ability in drafting regulations/collective bargaining at the company through skills training and counseling. This descriptive qualitative research takes the location in the city of Malang. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation and documentation. Data analysis was performed to describe the state of the research goals to the extent obtained from interviews, observation and documentation. The data that has been collected is prepared according to discussion framework. The results of this study is that women workers aware of the sexist material contained in regulations or collective labor agreements. Worker empowerment program conducted by the Serikat Buruh Sosialis Indonesia (SBSI) Malangkuceswara through empowerment movement to improve the ability and expertise in understanding the basic rights/ women basic rights workers in the labor regulations made by the government and companies. Empowerment activities realized by the dissemination of information, advocacy, mentoring, counseling, and training. Empowerment model consists of two (2) flows, namely empowerment flow and support flow. Empowerment flow is a workflow that describes empowerment movement by SBSI Malangkuceswara as a driver empowerment.Support flow is a flow that explains the support of institutions and groups to the empowerment movement and located around the main elements of empowerment as it helps the flow of the success of empowerment. Supporting elements include the Dinas Tenaga Kerja dan Sosial Kota Malang, Companies, Higher Education, and the Institut Solidaritas Buruh Surabaya (ISBS).
